Staying At Home With Toddlers

Keeping two toddlers busy has been a challenge and finding activities that can hold their attention for more than 30 minutes has been a goal of mine. Here are all the Amazon items we have been loving…

Olivia has been very into beads, coloring, and stickers. We got several types of beads for her and the princess necklaces have definitely been a favorite along with the pop beads because they are larger beads that connect without a string and are much easier for her to handle without any help from me. Perler beads are something new to us and I definitely have to supervise her with these because they are tiny. Making the designs has been such a fun activity for us to do together and it allows her to work on some fine motor skills. Stevie is too little for beads but this set allows him to practice stringing larger beads, colors, numbers, and solving puzzles.

The Crayola art kit has basically every crayon and marker you will ever need and my littles love that it’s all in one case.

The Melissa and Doug puffy stickers keep Olivia busy for hours! This bundle is all the girly things she loves and once Stevie is a little older I will buy this one for him. For now though, he has been loving the Water Wow books from Melissa and Doug because the pen is easy for him to hold and he loves being able to “color” with water. I highly recommend these books for younger toddlers.

Water beads have been a huge hit and a great sensory activity. This kit comes with a ton of beads and various underwater life. They have both enjoyed squeezing and playing with the beads while learning about the different creatures.

We have spent so much time outside because that is the best way to burn off all the pent up energy my kids have. The bounce house and the jungle gym are a little pricey but they are SO worth the money because they will spend hours jumping and climbing.

Stevie is finally learning how to ride a tricycle and has become obsessed with golf. He takes his golf set to the golf course with his dad and has so much fun. The balls are plastic which is great for indoor play too.

Bubbles are always fun and we bought these wands in bulk so that we will have some for the summer. And lastly, I recently discovered Kinetic Sand and it is the best sand because it’s not messy and it sticks together which makes it easy to build with. The kids play with this sand both inside and outside AND the box it comes in can be used as a mini sandbox to contain it.

I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe. Let me know what activities your kids have been loving the past few months!
