Hey everyone! I’m officially 29 weeks and have yet to write about how this pregnancy is going or anything about it for that matter. Since time seems to be getting away from me I might as well get right to it!
So here is a short recap of both the first and second trimesters…
First Trimester
We got a positive pregnancy test pretty early on and had to play the waiting game for about a month until we were able to see my doctor and get an ultrasound. Then came the fun part of announcing to family and friends about the pregnancy which took place in late November. Olivia wore a cute “Best Sister Ever” tee and held ultrasound photos as she ran to both mine and Steven’s parents to announce the pregnancy. It was the sweetest sight. As far as symptoms go, the first trimester went rather smoothly. I didn’t have much nausea/morning sickness but I was definitely exhausted and extremely hungry…and I mean so so hungry all the time. I definitely had a small baby bump that I really didn’t see in my first pregnancy until I was much further along. Oh, and my due date is July 8th (I probably should have stated that at the beginning).
Second Trimester
I remember the second trimester was my favorite during my last pregnancy and it definitely lived up to the expectations I had for it this time around. We found out that we are having a boy and had a small gender reveal for our families. Symptoms during this trimester included a lot of aches and pains that I didn’t have until the very end of my last pregnancy. This baby is super active, has a ton of hiccups, and is growing.
Currently: Beginning of 3rd Trimester (almost 30 weeks)
Current Symptoms: Trouble sleeping/getting comfortable at night
Cravings/Aversions: I’m not really craving much and I haven’t had any aversions.
Physical Changes: I’m feeling HUGE! Haha, I know that sounds ridiculous but I think its something that all petite women can understand. I am about the size I was when I delivered Olivia and I still have close to 11 weeks to go.
Upcoming Appointments: Monday I had an ultrasound (which is probably the last) and an appointment right after. I am at the point where I am going to the doctor every 2 weeks.
Exercise: I have managed to stay active this pregnancy with workouts ranging from 3-5 times a week. I have given up certain exercises for safety reasons and have traded HIIT for a slower paced stair climb/treadmill work. Yoga has also helped keep some lower back and hip pain at bay.
Favorite Products:
My skin has always been sensitive and while pregnant its on another level. These products have all been lifesavers.
