For the past few weeks, Olivia had been acting a little strange. We were experiencing sleep issues, irritability, restlessness, and separation anxiety. I kept thinking this was all being caused by the big move to Texas and that within a few weeks she should be adjusted to her new environment. Well, we have been in Texas almost a month and still no progress!
So out of curiosity I decided to check inside her mouth just to see if anything was happening in there and lo and behold two little pearly whites were trying to make an appearance! All the issues we were experiencing made sense. So for any of you mamas currently experiencing this (I wish you luck!) or wondering what its like this post is definitely for you.
Now I’m not gonna sit here and act like her teething experience has been easy. For the past couple weeks up until now I dreaded bedtime. It seemed like bedtime made the teething worse and she would wake up a couple of times in the middle of the night and cry and cry for hours. I felt a little helpless, stressed out, and extremely sleep deprived. However, as soon as the teeth cut through the gums she was back to sleeping through the night.
Here are a couple of products that have made this experience a little easier for us…
And for all you San Antonio mamas…ya’ll need to check out Roo and Me at The Pearl. Not only do they have the cutest clothes for babies and small children but they have the best teething toys. They don’t have a website but you can check out their Instagram here. Olivia is especially fond of these:
Baybee Boutique Silicone Teething Necklace
If you can’t make it out to The Pearl, the designer of the teething necklaces has an Etsy account and you can shop the necklaces here. These necklaces are so stylish! I remember having such a hard time finding one that didn’t look cheaply made and the Baybee necklace was perfect.
On another note, Olivia turned 9 months yesterday! Time is flying by and I wish it would just slow down for a while! Thanks for stopping by and reading!
Well all my babies are grown but i checked out the blog anyways. Motherhood sure does fit you. Love you mija.
