The Beginning Of It All…
I have always been obsessed with fashion and beauty blogs but when someone suggested that I try my hand at it, I didn’t take the idea seriously. The thought of using my free time to write blog posts while working in retail full-time with unrealistic hours just didn’t sound appealing. Even now as a full-time mother of a 7 month old baby girl, the idea still seems crazy, but I’m gonna give it a shot. I’m slowly starting to get back my “me” time and I can’t think of a better way to spend that time than writing about something that I love.
Here is what you can expect…
Beauty: Youtube beauty videos are literally my obsession and they have been for years. I have been a loyal follower to several women who have made careers out of makeup tutorials and reviews. These ladies have taught me several things and I’ve also learned a little on my own. I’m not a makeup artist but I consider myself an well-informed consumer. I plan on sharing beauty advice and tips, makeup hauls, and product reviews.
Outfits: There is no way you can survive over 10 years in retail without a clothing obsession. I’ve learned that your clothes make a statement and why not make it a bold one. Moving from a big city with so many stores and boutiques to a smaller one lacking those was definitely a transition. I was pushed to look at affordable fashion in a new light and to make the most of the shopping that’s available. Here I will share affordable outfits mixed with high-end, styling tips, vacation packing tips, cool places to shop in the area, and must have pieces.
Life: Currently, we are less than two weeks out from our big move from Kentucky to Texas. My husband is finishing up his last year of residency and he accepted a job in our hometown. We have spent all 3 years of our marriage in Kentucky and we are more than thrilled to have the opportunity to continue this journey near family and friends. With that being said, I hope you choose to follow along 🙂
Motherhood: Who knew how many sacrifices you must make once you have a child! As a mother, you never stop learning nor do you stop questioning or second guessing yourself. Being far away from family allowed me to raise our daughter with zero help and that experience has been a blessing. All babies are different but I want to offer what worked for us and maybe it might work for you too.
Due to our move, posts on here (especially fashion related) may be a little sparse; however, once we are settled I can’t wait to be consistent! So bear with me during this transition. Thanks for reading and I hope you’ll be back for more!
